COURSE OVERVIEW
Our Barbering Skill Set equips you with the essential skills to thrive in the world of men’s grooming. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your techniques, this course covers everything you need to know. Learn the fundamentals of cutting, fading, beard shaping, straight razor shaves, and client consultations. Gain hands-on experience with the latest tools while understanding different hair textures and face shapes to create personalised looks for every client. This course is designed to help you build confidence and start your journey towards becoming a skilled, sought-after barber.

Time: 9:00 am to 3:30 pm

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
All students undertake a Language Literacy and Numeracy evaluation prior to enrolling with our LLN Robot assessment tool.
STUDENT FEE
Subside ACE funded.
This training is subsidised by the NSW Government. Eligibility applies.

- SHBHCUT001 Design haircut structures
- SHBHCUT005 Cut hair using over-comb techniques
- SHBHCUT010 Create haircuts using tracks and carving
- SHBHCUT011 Design and maintain beards and moustaches
- SHBHCUT013 Provides men’s general grooming services
- CREDIT TRANSFER OR RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
If you believe you have already undertaken any of this training, or have the current skills, please talk to your Trainer or Training Coordinator prior to course commencement. Credit transfer can only be applied by sighting the organismal transcript of studies.
